Course Outline

If your ORV can be transported in the back of another vehicle, such as a pickup truck:

  • Turn off the fuel valve. Run the engine until it stops, which empties the fuel line.
  • If you’re transporting the ORV for a long distance, drain the fuel tank.
  • Set the parking brake.
  • Leave the fuel valve and tank vent cap turned off to prevent gas vapors from leaking. This is critical when transporting the ORV inside an enclosed vehicle.
