Arizona Game and Fish Department

In addition to managing Arizona’s diverse wildlife resources, the AZGFD receives funding for OHV information, education, and law enforcement. The department also works with other agencies to establish rules regarding equipment necessary to operate OHVs safely and responsibly.

Arizona State Land Department

The Arizona State Land Department manages over 9 million acres of property in the state for the benefit of Arizona Schools. Entry and travel across Arizona Trust Lands requires appropriate permits. Hunters and anglers with valid hunting or fishing licenses are allowed access to State Trust Lands. In addition, vehicles bearing the OHV decal are allowed to cross State Trust Lands. All other vehicles and uses require a permit available from the Arizona State Land Department.

Arizona State Parks

Arizona State Parks administers the grant component of the state’s OHV program and is responsible for compiling the State Trails Report used to guide OHV management efforts.
