Off-road vehicles have been increasing in popularity during the past decade. As trails and recreation areas become more crowded, it's especially important for people to operate these vehicles safely, ethically, and responsibly.

  • These motor-driven, off-highway recreational vehicles are capable of cross-country travel without benefit of a road or trail.
  • Depending on the type, an off-road vehicle may travel on land, snow, ice, marsh, swampland, or other natural terrain.
