Mechanical problems can occur at any time, so it's wise to carry the tool kit and owner's manual that came with your ORV.

- Cell phone
- Electrical and duct tape
- Extra spark plugs–worn plugs are the number-one cause of engine stalling
- First-aid kit
- Headlight and taillight bulbs
- Sturdy tow rope or chain
