Welcome to the official offroad safety course developed for Montana State Parks.

This offroad education course, has the same offroad safety content as the Montana State Parks classroom course.

Pay $29.50—one time only, after you pass. You will then be able to immediately print out a temporary OHV Safety Education Certificate, which will serve as your temporary certificate for 30 days until you receive your permanent Montana OHV Safety Education Certificate in the mail.

Once you complete the Certification Exam and pay for the online course, you will receive your permanent OHV Safety Education Certificate in the mail within 7 business days.

Montana Offroad Education Requirements

  • Montana requires operators 12 through 16 years of age to obtain an OHV Safety Education Certificate and be under the direct supervision of a licensed operator to ride on designated OHV trails.
