UTVs are designed specifically for off-highway use and are not intended by the manufacturers to be operated on paved surfaces. Although UTVs have a roll cage, injuries from rollovers are an inherent risk of OHV use. All operators and passengers should always wear DOT–approved helmets and keep their arms and legs inside the UTV at all times.
